Spring Carnival

Each Spring we transform GHE into an amazing, fun-filled wonderland! There are games and prizes for kids and auctions and raffle baskets to help raise money for the many programs and services the PTA provides to the school. 

 

  • 5:00 PM: Food Trucks & Ticket Will Call/Purchases open

  • 5:30 PM: Games and Activities open

  • 7:30 PM: Teacher Experiences Auction, Raffle Baskets, & Games close

  • 7:45 PM: Raffle Basket Winners are announced 

  • 10:00 PM: Online Silent Auction ends

  

PUNCH CARD AND RAFFLE TICKET PRE-ORDERS

Now's your chance to save time and money by pre-ordering punch cards and raffle basket tickets at reduced prices!

 

Punch cards are $8 each and raffle basket tickets for $1 each or buy in bulk to save! Prices go up at Carnival where punch cards will be $10 and raffle tickets will only be sold for $1/each. 

  

Punch cards can be used for games & activities (most are 1-2 punches), concessions (cotton candy = 3 punches, water = 2 punches, popcorn = 2 punches) or raffle basket tickets (1 raffle ticket = 2 punches).

 

Credit card sales at the event will have a $10 MINIMUM. 

FOOD

Carnival is a fun night for the whole family so plan to have dinner and dessert while you're here! We'll have a food truck rodeo out front. Come hungry and eat at RollDogs: Hotdogs, chips & drink, combo or Hot spicy sausage Dogs & Hot soft pretzel, Johnny's Pizza: Pepperoni and Cheese Pizzas and Konos! We have something for everyone starting at 5:00 PM. Plus, each truck will donate a portion of the evenings proceeds to GHE so take the night off from cooking!

 

For those looking for a little refresher we'll also be offering cotton candy and bottled water in the cafeteria that can be purchased with your punch card.

FUN GAMES & ACTIVITIES

Punch cards give kids access to all the games and activities! With 30 different games and activities your kids will be busy all night exploring fan favorites like tic tac toss, cupcake walk, sandy candy and face painting. NEW!!! We will be having a live animals show at the Carnival!  There will be four 30-minute sessions starting at 5:30. There will be limited seating available for each session. Parents must give approval for their child's participation before they can join.

ONLINE SILENT AUCTION

Our online, silent Spring Carnival auction will be filled with fun experiences and items from your favorite local vendors. This year's auction has something for everyone! There are 80+ amazing items and experiences to bid on. And with everything online, we would miss you, but you don't even have to be at Carnival to bid and win! Mark your calendar because the auction preview will open April 12! 

 

TEACHER EXPERIENCES AUCTION

More than 30 GHE teachers and staff are auctioning fun experiences like a pizza party for the winning student and a friend with the second grade teachers, Principal for a Day, a pancake breakfast with our fourth grade team, Coach G attending one of your sporting/performance events followed by ice cream or painting a ceiling tile for the front lobby. These are always a hit with students who enjoy spending time with their teachers outside of the normal school day. There is a twist this year. Teacher experiences auction will be also online like our silent auction! Start bidding starting from April 12!

RAFFLE BASKETS 

Our popular raffle baskets are back! Head to the cafeteria to check out the fun, themed raffle baskets filled with items to keep your kids busy all summer like our Mad Scientist, Outdoor Adventure, Cooking Fun and much more. Raffle tickets will be $1. Buy lots of tickets to enter as many times and in as many baskets as you want! Ticket drops run from 5:30 - 7:30PM with the drawings at 7:45 PM.

VOLUNTEERING

The Carnival is the PTA's biggest event of the school year and it takes an enormous effort to pull off. It's a great way to get involved at the school and many hands will make everyone's job a bit easier. We cannot have Carnival without your help! Please sign-up for a slot or two to help!

 

We will also be collecting store-bought cupcakes for our extremely popular cupcake walk activity! Please sign up to donate a dozen cupcakes.
