GHE Parent Teacher Association Membership

Green Hope Elementary’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is here to enhance your child’s education by coordinating events and special programs that make GHE an outstanding school. The number one reason to join the PTA is to benefit your child. Our goal is 100% family and staff membership.

Join PTA

GHE PTA wishes to gather feedback from our community to inform our fundraising efforts in the future. All PTA members who join this week will receive the survey link.

GHE PTA MEMBER BENEFITS

As a member of the PTA, you will have opportunities to influence the direction of our school by working with the principal, teachers and other families to give your child a world-class educational experience. In addition, enjoy these great benefits:

  • Access to our online school directory—playdates and birthday invites have never been easier.
  • A vote in at our general PTA meetings and membership in the NCPTA.
  • Great discounts from companies like Dell, Farmers Insurance, Hertz, Lenovo, Office Depot, and more! Visit the National PTA website for a list of discounts available to PTA members.

IF I JOIN, DO I HAVE TO...

Go to meetings?
No. You are always welcome to attend our meetings though.

Volunteer or spend a lot of time at school?
Nope! Joining the PTA is not the same as volunteering. If you choose to volunteer we would LOVE the help—but volunteering is not required.

Supported programs and services

Here are a few of the things your donations, a portion of your membership dues and time have helped support over the years:

  • Teacher resources—Each year teachers have access to funds to help get their classrooms (virtual or physical!) ready for a new group of learners. PTA has also funded grade-level enhancements like the class-size carpet mats in all Kindergarten/1st Grade classrooms and grade level-specific classroom text sets.

  • Improved technology—The PTA has funded upgrades such as renovating the Technology room and placing smart boards in every classroom.

  • Educational resources and programs—GHE PTA pays for many of the educational applications used in your child’s class as well as for events such as STEAM Night.

  • School campus enhancements—In recent years, the PTA has funded a new K-2 playground structure, renovated the existing play area, installed sunshades and installed new water fountains with built-in water bottle refill stations.

  • School community events—GHE PTA hosts many events such as Donuts with Grown Ups, Family Game Night and Scoop and a Show that aim to build a sense of community and school spirit among GHE families.
