Every year in October, millions of children from countries around the world participate in events for International Walk to School Day to raise awareness about walking safety and to promote healthy behavior.

GHE's event is sponsored by GHE and the GHE PTA. Even if your child is normally a carpooler or bus rider, they can have the experience of walking to school.

Drop your student off at Circle on the Green in Preston Village at 8:30AM on October 6. They will be greeted by parent volunteers (please sign-up to help!) and staff and guided on their way to school.

Each year students from GHE participate in National PTA's annual Reflections program by submitting works of art in one or all of the available categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts. Huge thank you to GHE parent Lu Lu who is volunteering for the second year to lead the program. More details on the deadline (typically mid-October) will be coming soon. For now, share this year's theme, "I am Hopeful Because..." with your child to get their creative juices flowing.
