Welcome back to school GHE families! It was wonderful to see you at Meet The Teacher. We noticed that many of you were checking out the new outdoor learning experience, Falcon's Nest, so we thought we'd share more about how this new space will be used to enrich your child's education with STEM-themed stations including weather, measurements and nature lifecycles.
As we prepare to welcome our Falcons back to school, we're SOARing to be able to welcome our GHE Families to Falcon's Nest! Phase 1 of construction is almost complete. Today our shelter received a concrete floor and some additional walkways were added. Phase 1 of our project is almost complete thanks to our sponsors, our GHE PTA management team, our contractors and our GHE family volunteers!
On Friday August 13th, GHE PTA welcomed our Flying Falcon Founding Members to our school to help celebrate the construction of Falcon's Nest. We were joined on site by Dan Ryan Builders and Towne Bank. We thank all of our Flying Falcons, Falcon Friend, and all of our corporate sponsors for their support of GHE PTA.
Over the last month Falcon's Nest has progressed from paper to reality. Our contractor, Reese Construction, has cleared, graded, and paved the way for the space to be used by students this fall. Our shelter, by Enwood Structures, arrived on the site and was installed just in time for the start of the school year!
Construction of Falcon's Nest is underway !!! It's so exciting to watch the progress.
